There is nothing more inspiring for those who are passionate about 2D animation than giving life to characters that illustrate a journey as beautiful as Rayssa Leal’s Brazilian medal-winning skateboarder. Using cute animals inspired on children's cartoons, our exceptional artists created on the screen the appropriate visual language to tell this fascinating story. Thanks to our expertise in combining the classic aesthetic with the tradition animation, we designed a unique production management method to meet the schedule of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. It is no wonder that this film was the runner-up among the 5 best advertising films of 2021, according to a panel of 85 experts and executives from the advertising sector in Brazil.
And with honor, this film won a bronze trophy at the Cannes festival in 2022.
In addition to the Cartel Cartoon direction and coordination teams, for this project we also relied on the experience of a special team with more than 60 artists, including character creation professionals, storyboarders, animators, inbetweeners, clean-up artists and colorists, who brilliantly demonstrated their talent in this production.
